Indoor Air and Energy Certification
According to the Agency for the Energy (ADENE - Agência para a
Energia), to improve the energy performance of the buildings is one
of the key factors for the energy sustainability. Having this in mind,
and all the requirements of the law in force, the construction of new
buildings with drive for the Ibersol Group respect the issues related
to energy certification. This investment already bore its fruits, since
the building was awarded the energy certification – through the
management and monitoring of ADENE and of the General Office
of Energy and Geology, respectively.
We should point out that, besides informing the energy performan-
ce of the building, the energy certification also gives an estimate
of energy consumption under specific conditions, and identifies
measures that improve energy efficiency, comfort and reduces the
costs with energy. The certified buildings were awarded with A and
B label classifications.
According to recent performance indicators, the buildings in question
registered an increase in efficiency regarding the reference values:
- by 66% in cooling of ambient temperature;
- by 36% in installed lighting (LED technology);
- by 47% in sanitary hot water (due to the use of solar heat collec-
tors, to heat water).
