Water
Water is a vital resource for ibersol’s activity, to assure
unit hygiene and cleaning, especially in work areas and
customer attendance, and for equipment, cooking uten-
sils and dishes, as well as for washing ingredients and
continual hand hygiene for all food handlers.
To foster rational use of this resource, we high-
light two measures:
• Extension of the use in kitchen/prep areas of prewa-
sh low-flow sprayers to maintain or improve cleaning
efficiency, reducing the amount of water used.
• Promotion of washing machine use only when full, to
minimize water consumption besides reducing electric
power consumption.

In 2012 some 285 water consumption points were coun-
ted, for a total consumption amount of 182,000 m3. This
figure represents a consumption increase of approxi-
mately 32% compared to the previous year. However,
this difference is largely due to the higher number of
consumption points considered.
