Following the work done in 2013, Ibersol continued the
implementation of new training programs in the Pizza
Hut and KFC businesses, making use of new method-
ologies if training.
The new training programs are based in three pillars: a
learning platform in eLearning, Coaching andOn the Job
Training. The methodology used allows reinforcing the
learning consistency of the standards and its continuous
monitoring. It is addressed to the initial training of the
new employees, the recertification of the current teams
and, in the future, to the training and development of
leaders in different career levels, namely ShiftManagers
and Restaurant Managers.
The learning platform in eLearning - Learning Zone –
offers several functions, namely for storing, managing
and exporting of contents, as well as online courses and
the assessment of knowledge and skills which are done
through evaluation tests and observation checklists.
Learning Zone conferred a wider objectivity and inter-
activity to the training, more autonomy to the trainees
and more attention to the results and the Customer.
The implementation of these new methodologies is in
line with the growing concern of the Group in keeping
up the new profiles and behaviours of its Customers,
but also of their Teams. This allows Ibersol to meet the
expectations and the needs of their employees.
In 2014 Ibersol was also an ‘Escola para a Vida’ (School
for Life) for 62 youths who held their internship in the
Group. Regarding academic internships, 34 students
from secondary school or higher education were given
the chance to acquire experience in a real working con-
text, putting into practice theoretical knowledge learned
in their courses. From 34 students, 6 held their intern-
ship in the Core Functions and 28 in Ibersol Businesses.
In turn, the professional internships were often the first
job experience for recently trained youths or those who
had acquired a new qualification. These internships
represent an opportunity to adjust expectations and the
profile of skills, not just for the interns but also for Ibersol
as the promoter. In 2014, 12 interns were admitted, 3 in
Core Functions and 9 in Businesses.
The Ibersol GroupBusinesses held also 1 very short-term
professional internship and 16 internships under spe-
cific programs of the Autonomous Regions of Madeira
and Azores.
