• investigation of the incidents, establishment of their causes, setup
of correctivemeasures and sharing of best practices. Each business
tried to focus its attention, and took measures to prevent accidents
fromhappening again, after thinking about the occupational accidents
suffered: 318 in 2015.
• the training in Occupational Safety and Health was maintained in
the integration plan of new employees, based on the leaflet on
Occupational Safety and Health. As soon as they start working,
the employees receive training and are encouraged to follow safe
behaviours regarding the risks of their workplace;
• launch of the 3rd edition of the campaign ‘Apanha a Tarefa Segura’
(Catch the Safe Task), conceived to celebrate the World Day for
Occupational Safety and Health. In 2015, the employees were
challenged to share best practices in safety to prevent and redu-
ce the risk of falls in the units. The decrease of the accident rate,
and the improvement of themotivation levels of the employees in
preventing and adopting best practices of Occupational Safety and
Health, constitute the most important targets of this campaign;
• inquiry to the employees regardingOccupational Safety andHealth,
with a global participation rate of approx. 64%.
