In the scope of the World Food Day – celebrated at October 16th –,
KFC received the visit of eight students within the scope of the pro-
gramme ‘Pequenos Grandes Chefes’ (Little Big Chefs), an initiative
addressed to children, which promotes a healthy and safe diet, and
that enables them to understand how food is prepared and cooked.
During the year of 2015, the programme ‘Cozinha Aberta’ (Open
Kitchen) from Burger King was very active. With the purpose of
revealing the internal processes, transmitting the best practices of
food safety and hygiene, and of unmasking myths, several teaching
institutions visited the backstage of the restaurants of Burger King.
The initiative attracted dozens of children and young people to the
backstage of units located throughout the country. There were
