The increase of the personnel skills continues to be an
important aspect for Ibersol. In 2013, the training offers
that have been made available to the employees at New
Opportunities career centres was temporarily suspend-
ed due to the end of the initiative New Opportunities.
The Group intends to resume this Project through the
opening of new structures of the National Qualification
System (Sistema Nacional de Qualificações) – the Quali-
fication and Professional Education Centres (Centros
para a Qualificação e Ensino Profissional).
The Ibersol Group has been drawing a new path regard-
ing the training methodologies used. In 2013, the invest-
ment in new training methodologies was consolidated
through the use of online learning platforms, with the
following projects:

Learning Zone
– an online learning platform that of-
fers several functions, namely for storing, managing
and exporting of contents, as well as online courses
and corresponding assessments. Applicable to the Piz-
za Hut and KFC brands.
•
Foundations
– a training process for shift manag-
ers that includes an application that offers an online
course on Food Safety and assessments to validate the
management knowledge and skills. Applicable to the
Burger King brand.
These new online formats make learning more objec-
tive and conscious, gives more autonomy to the train-
ees, allow for an immediate identification of the train-
ing needs, improve tracking of the training, develop
the coaching and team building skills in real time, and
reduce the costs of transport of the attendees and of
printing materials.
Having the learning process centralized, through the
use of online platforms, allows for trainers and man-
agement teams to better focus on following up training
on-the-job and to achieve results.
This new online learning paradigm also reflects the Iber-
sol Group’s concern to update its training infrastruc-
tures and methodologies, thus meeting the needs of its
younger personnel, more oriented to the new informa-
tion and communication technologies.
In 2013 Ibersol was also an Escola para a Vida (School
for Life) for 61 youths offered academic or professional
internships in the Group.
