Burger King supported a group of 16 children in need from the Casa
de Tires. This is a hosting centre for children aged between 3-10
years old, who are sons and daughters of female prisoners of the
Prison Establishment of Tires and who are in a vulnerable situation.
The brand participated also at the 24 Hour Comis Fest, an action
designed by the UniversidadeNova that promotes fun and creativity,
where the brand was presented to university students.
Regarding the promotion of healthy life habits, namely the practice
of sports, the Burger King brand sponsored the equipment of 80
athletes of the Sports Association of Oeiras in 2015/2016 season,
thus developing a relationship with the local community. In a similar
way, Pizza Hut Carnaxide sponsored the equipment of 22 children
who belong to the child team of the football school of Sport Clube
Linda A Velha. This action affected positively the increase in sales
at the brand’s restaurants in Carnaxide and Algés.
