Ibersol and AMI Partnership
In order to carry on with its social responsibility policy,
and being aware of the importance of the initiatives that
make the customers feel part of a common change, the
Ibersol Group continued its partnership with AMI, lead-
ing to the interiorization of responsible behaviours.
This partnership, initiated five years ago to help fight
hunger in Portugal, aims to raise funds that will support
distribution of meals at the Porta Amiga centres and
AMI night shelters.
In a scenario of solidarity and social responsibility, the
partnership unfold a new chapter in September 2013
with the launch of another campaign to gather dona-
tions, this time counting with the support of two impor-
tant partners: Sumol and Lipton Ice Tea.
The “Blue Cup” (Copo Azul) movement was given the
theme “drink blue to help reduce hunger”. As the name
suggests, by asking for a brink in a blue cup, the cus-
tomer helped AMI to fight hunger, contributing with 20
euro cents on behalf of the foundation.
Over 3,700 employees participated in the campaign,
helping to promote the initiative in approximately 230
restaurants of the brands Pizza Hut, Burger King, Pans
& Company, KFC, Pasta Caffé, Ò Kilo, Miit, Sol, Flor
d’Oliveira and Bocatta.
The results showed since the beginning, totalling €
11,421.00 in the first days of the campaign. By the end
of the initiative, the donations amounted to € 42,500,
contributing to serve over 14,000 meals in the AMI’s
Porta Amiga centres and night shelters.
