SOCIAL PERFORMANCE
Meal Donations
Ibersol continues to support the community by donat-
ing food from products not consumed at catering events
to local institutions.
Silva Carvalho Catering celebrates collaboration proto-
cols with local institutions, with the purpose of donating
the food surplus from the catering events held.
In 2013, in the Lisbon metropolitan area, the partner-
ship with Casa da Sopa Mãe Maria de Nazaré remained
operational, allowing making use of the food surplus
that guaranteed 3,400 meals delivered to the most
needing families.
Regarding the North region, Silva Carvalho Catering and
Catering of the Dragão Stadium directed the food sur-
plus from the events held to the Associação Coração da
Cidade, the Associação Protetora da Criança and the As-
sociação de Escolas do Torne e do Prado, totalling ap-
proximately 6,290Kg of food donations.
Transversely, every time a customer wishes to donate
food surplus to a specific association, Silva Carvalho Ca-
tering coordinates this liaison so that the aid is provided
according to the customer’s preferences.
The Ibersol units located in the Azores and Madeira also
sponsor varied events with the offering of meals. The
participation in the local community’s school and aca-
demic lives is also very active, often through the offering
of end-of-the-year celebration lunches, and the dona-
tion of vouchers in events held by the local universities.
Within the scope of these initiatives, nearly 600 meals
were served in 2013.
Likewise, the multi-brand Modivas Norte has offered a
get-together lunch to the students that have received
the support of the Associação Bagos d'Ouro, that helps
needing children from the Douro region, and who pre-
sent a high potential of schooling performance. In total,
135 meals were offered.
